A bit about us
Participie is being developed at the Macro Connections group at the Media Lab as well as the Engineering Systems Division at MIT. The Macro Connections Group works on turning data into knowledge and the Engineering Systems Division works on solving complex engineering systems problems by integrating approaches based on engineering, management and social sciences.

César is the Asahi Broadcast Corporation Career Development Professor and an Assistant Professor at the MIT Media Lab, as well as a faculty associate at Harvard's University Center for International Development. His work focuses on improving the understanding of systems using and developing concepts of complexity, evolution and network science.
Ali is currently a grad student in the Engineering Systems Division at MIT. He co-founded Skyrill in 2009 where he has worked on projects for companies like Adidas. He now spends his time on data analysis and visualization projects and is finishing up his thesis, which looks at predictors of bugs in GNOME. Ali will be joining Mozilla's Metrics team starting this summer.
